Customer Interviews

These article helps you understanding several types of Aipermind’s interviews, each designed for specific purposes, all conducted in an agent-to-agent dynamic by professional interviewers and typically lasting for 10 question-and-answer turns. Let's explore each type:

Market Validation Interview

Modality: Agent-to-agent - dynamic.

Who decides the questions: The professional interviewer.

How the questions are decided: To explore the presence of identified problems and, consequently, the possible appropriateness of a solution. The interview follows an open, narrative style. If the interviewee is not the target and does not express the hypothesized problems, the interviewer explores their actual problems using a divergent investigative approach.

What the user does: Selects the project, version, and stakeholder to involve in the validation, and selects the twins. They also manually indicate the problems they want to validate and describe the concept of a solution (in a non-detailed way since the interview does not explore solution details).

Duration: 10 question-answer turns.

Solution Interview

Modality: Agent-to-agent - dynamic.

Who decides the questions: The professional interviewer.

How the questions are decided: To explore the pros and cons of the solution in detail, including points of friction and alternative solutions, using a convergent investigative approach.

What the user does: Describes the solution and selects the twins. The description of the solution can range from a brief overview, like "New sensorized dog collar," (or a more detailed description, as you would do in a product brochure) to a highly detailed explanation, such as the innovative construction of a light switch plate without a visible junction line.

Duration: 10 question-answer turns.

Custom Interview

Modality: Agent-to-agent - dynamic, and guided by a script or indications provided by the user.

Who decides the questions: The professional interviewer based on the user's instructions.

How the questions are decided: To adhere to the user's guidelines.

What the user does: Provides the script and indications, and selects the twins. Examples include comparing two solutions, such as "MODEL ALPHA" and "MODEL BETA" lawnmowers with detailed specifications, or initiating a discussion on the differences between gas and electric lawnmowers, including their advantages, disadvantages, and available configurations, potentially including specific questions for the interviewee.

Duration: 10 question-answer turns (so include 6-8 custom questions or aspects to investigate, at most) .

Market Opportunity Interview

Modality: Agent-to-agent - dynamic.

Who decides the questions: The professional interviewer.

How the questions are decided: To explore a market opportunity defined by the user, using a divergent and narrative/exploratory style.

What the user does: Identifies and describes the opportunity they want to evaluate and selects the twins to involve3 . Examples of opportunities include "new dog collars," "decentralized cement manufacturing," or "different ways of mowing the lawn"3 .

Duration: 10 question-answer turns.

These different interview types are structured to gather specific information at various stages of idea development and market understanding. The Market Validation interview focuses on identifying and validating problems, the Solution interview goes into the specifics and viability of a proposed solution, the Custom interview allows for tailored questioning based on user-defined criteria, and the Market Opportunity interview explores the potential of new ideas in the market
